See ya in 3 weeks!
Finally at the Arlanda Airport waiting to board the plane! I was cheap and picked the worst flight available, I have 22 hours ahead of me, usually it’s like.. 16 hours I think. I have one stop over in Dusseldorf and one in Chicago. In Dusseldorf I only have 1 hour and 15 minutes until the plane to Chicago leaves so I’d say the changes are 50/50 that I won’t catch it if security is slow haha so we’ll see what happens here .
I had a farewell dinner at my parents place 2 days ago and yesterday I was so hung over I could barely move, mixing Whiskey and 54% Rum and beer wasn’t the greatest idea… Lesson leard, hopefully (probably not though)… Had a great time though! Looking forward to the flight actually as flying is one of the most relaxing things I know… at least once you’re on the plane . Boarding is in 10 minutes so I gotta log out here. I’ll try to keep you updated on what’s going on in my little world during the upcoming weeks!
Today is Sunday and it’s my last shift at work before I leave the country . Still a little stressed out because I have tons of things that needs to be done before I leave. My e-mail inbox is… well, a bit overdue to say the least . The indie-go-go campaign still needs some work… Finances needs to be sorted out, as always… well, basically all those little things in the everyday life of Mr. London .
I just filled in the ESTA application, for entering the US.. Check out these questions, isn’t it crazy? Especially C) is a classic!
Do any of the following apply to you? (Answer Yes or No)
A) Do you have a communicable disease; physical or mental disorder; or are you a drug abuser or addict? No
B) Have you ever been arrested or convicted for an offense or crime involving moral turpitude or a violation related to a controlled substance; or have been arrested or convicted for two or more offenses for which the aggregate sentence to confinement was five years or more; or have been a controlled substance trafficker; or are you seeking entry to engage in criminal or immoral activities? No
C)Have you ever been or are you now involved in espionage or sabotage; or in terrorist activities; or genocide; or between 1933 and 1945 were you involved, in any way, in persecutions associated with Nazi Germany or its allies? No
D)Are you seeking to work in the U.S.; or have you ever been excluded and deported; or been previously removed from the United States or procured or attempted to procure a visa or entry into the U.S. by fraud or misrepresentation? No
E) Have you ever detained, retained or withheld custody of a child from a U.S. citizen granted custody of the child? No
F)Have you ever been denied a U.S. visa or entry into the U.S. or had a U.S. visa canceled?
G)Have you ever asserted immunity from prosecution? No
However, my application was approved so hopefully they’ll let me in!
Gotta start preparing for work now. Hope you guys have your Sunday off at least! See ya around
Great things accomplished today! Even though I’ve been day jobbing for 8 hours I managed to get the registration system on the playground site to work. So now new users can sign up again, without needing a Facebook account. This issue has been bothering me for weeks so I’m glad to finally have it sorted out!
What’s next then well I gotta style the chat and order a subscription. My plan is to do a few Q&A’s in there, which I hope will be appreciated by many . One day we might be able to actually officially launch this site. The work has been going on for weeks so it would be nice to have that project ticked off my list .
Tomorrow is my last day-job-shift for a while and then on Wednesday I’m returning to the great US and A to meet up with my dearly missed girlfriend again and of course to see Mötley Crüe in Vegas on the 25th which is quite unbelievable too!
All in all my life is just getting better and better as I’m slowly recovering from the madness-on-tour we had going on recently. There’s hope for the future nowadays and I love that feeling .
I knew one thing for a fact. I didn’t want write another single blog post about work. Because work is supposed to be something boring. Unless you’re working with what you truly love. Lately I’ve been working a lot. I’ve been working with our new playground web site, I’ve been working with our merch and I’ve been working more than full time at my day job as a P.A. To be honest I love all three of them. I chose to not have any spare time because I get bored. And I don’t have that many interests beside music anyways. I don’t even enjoy hanging out with people. I sometimes read what other people do, they meet their friends. I never do that, unless I’m shit faced. Don’t get me wrong here, I love my friends and especially the last year – when I’ve been going through hell – they’ve always been there for me. But just hanging out with people too much makes me stress, because there is work at home that needs to be done .
My life would simply be too empty without work. Whenever I do actually have some spare time I fill that time with work – with things that drives me forward – and all those little things that – I suppose at the moment – is taking me one little step closer to accomplishing my life long dream.
It seems like there can’t be a Peter London blog without mentioning work in every other post, the option would be to not blog at all, and that’s no good either haha.
Just some random thoughts on a Friday night! Maybe the whiskey kicks in already
See you around!
I’m obviously not ready to start blogging on a daily basis again. There are still too many loose ends in my life that needs to be adressed until I have enough peace and quiet in my head to be able to write stuff again, even writing simple things as a blog post haha!
*Back to getting things back on track again, see ya around!*
So…. What’s new… Well, tons of stuff. There is no way I’m gonna be able to summarize the last few months in just one post. But I promised myself to try to start blogging again on the 1st of September.
It’s kinda hard though. I’ve pretty much lost the trust in my own ability to write stuff that’s interesting to read, haha! So I’d appreciate if you could help me out here.
We’re not touring at the moment, so I have to ask, what the h*ll do you wanna read about? Please comment this post and let me know.
I do got loads of stories just waiting to come out. I’m dreaming of writing a book one day. And to me, writing a successful blog is pretty much the same thing.
Yes, it would be easier if it was in Swedish. But Google translate would mess everything up. So I should stick to English. Even though I express myself better in Swedish. You’ll just have to cope with my grammatical mistakes. Haha.
I’m at my parents country house at the moment and we were celebrating my upcoming birthday. I’m in Anaheim during my actual birthday, so… and for presents I got a 3 day pass at Disneyland in Anaheim and a book about sloths. Haha. They know me so well…
I’m gonna read my new book now and I’m gonna try to pass out. As usual I’m working tomorrow so I have to be in a OK shape. I might review the book tomorrow, who knows .
Take care my friends!
Haha, what a f*cking day!
Went up at 5.30 to go to the US Embassy to get our work visa’s, can you believe it? The dream I’ve had since I was 6 years old and realized how great Guns n’ Roses are, have finally started to get real, it’s insane. Not that it was easy though, we forgot to bring most of the papers they needed and we had to go to the bank twice to get some receipts stamped, and they refused to stamp the god damned receipts until our tour manager threatened the bank office’s manager to announce to the world that because of your bank a world tour is canceled haha. Well, luckily this didn’t have to happen and we’re all in good time now and the US tour is still on haha!
After this exciting episode the whole band sat down and talked about what’s been going on so far and about what’s going to happen, u know, we’ll spend the next 2 months being basically in the same room all the time so it’s kinda important to be on the same level with stuff. Like any group of people working extremely tight together we’ve had some slight issues but at the same time we love & respect each other on a level that is hard to explain to anyone. As always communication is the key to everything and in the past we haven’t put so much effort into it, we’ve just been working a lot haha, spending no time at all talking about stuff. I guess it’s a guy thing too – most guys have difficulties talking about feelings and other serious subjects. Dunno why it is like that… Is that why men are so violent – because they never ventilate their feelings? Haha… Girlz in general are smarter, they talk and let it go… I’ll try that concept too from now on.
After this extremely constructive meeting I went to the EXTEND hair salong to finally get my hair bleached and that was about time hehe, I’ve been almost only half blonde lately . I answered about 50 e-mails too. What did people do all day before e-mailing was invented? Haha.
Tomorrow we’ll do a show in Stockholm with a couple of awesome surprises – hope to see as many people as possible there as it’s gonna be a blast for sure!
Time to learn some new songs for tomorrow so I gotta go! See ya soon!
Alright, just arrived to the venue with loads of people outside, some had been waiting for 24 hours, in this Finish cold, that’s pretty impressive, I’ve probably never seen anything like this in Europe before. To everyone who were there – I hope you realize how much these things means to me. I’m the happiest man on earth .
Gotta start getting ready for the show, big thanks to Finland for welcoming us in this awesome way Cheers!
