So very tired…

I’ve been sitting behind a desk more or less the whole day, from 7 am to 9 pm, such a contrast from raising hell in the US a little more than one week ago! I definitely prefer the latter but the feeling of having things under control for once in a while stimulates me as well. Just for the sake of some balance, if nothing else :P.

Tomorrow we’ll ship well over 70 webshop orders so you people will finally get your stuff! My friend Emelie came over to help me out, which was great because I couldn’t do it on my own that’s for sure. I’m still having some serious sleeping problems and I’m not sure why anymore, but it’s getting really annoying. I need to sleep more than 2 – 4 hours every night but I never manage to do so. And sadly I forgot to pick up melatonin while I was in the US…

It’s like every time you can’t fall asleep you have to re-learn how to do the fucking thing! How can it be so hard? Anyone knows any tricks for falling asleep that does not include medicine (’cause I have none) :). And I don’t masturbate either :P. Tell me.

  1. No masturbation = no sleep. So sorry, lost cause ;) haha
    Nah, try hot milk… tastes disgusting according to me, but maybe that’ll do the trick! The only thing that works for me is routin. If I happen to stay up a bit late one night, I won’t be able to sleep the next night. Who could’ve thought that getting some sleep would be such a big issue… Hugs! xx

    Hey cherry pie! :) I absolutely understand you, since I have same sleeping problems. No matter of how tired I am – I can’t sleep. I am yawning whole day, but when my bed welcomes me – I can’t get sleep, and I don’t know the cause or the cure for it. So sad to hear that you have such a problem, hard to live with it.
    Anyway, I wish you a good luck, and hope that things will get better soon!
    Of course that you’re our favourite bass player and the cutest one, you forgot to mention that! Thanks for updating blog often, that means so much! Love you! <3

    You work too hard, that’s the problem. Trust me – I know the drill. You need to relax to be able to sleep. What helps me when I can’t sleep is a glass of red wine before bed. Usually makes me go down like a stone in water. Or read a book until you can’t keep your eyes open anymore. Of course you can try counting sheep as well but that one’s overrated by far. Never works for me anyway, especially when the sheep start flying instead of leaping, silly buggers. If all else fails give me a call and I bore you into a coma, haha. Oh, or ask one of the guys to whack you over the head with a hammer if you don’t mind a killer headache in the morning ;-)

    I really do hope you can catch some sleep tonight. I heard about delayed jetlag before but this is getting ridiculous.

    I have the same problem, I can’t sleep at all and everytime I lay in my bed I’m soooo tired, my body is tired, but my mind is always awake. It’s horrible not to get sleep because it drives you crazy… Anyway I tried melatonin, I tried chamomile, but they didn’ work… So sometimes I take ”drops to sleep”, but this is a medicine, so it doesn’t count.. I suggest you to do one thing, maybe it’ll work: put your headphones in your ears and listen to music.. the volume must be not too high … Let us know if you can sleep :) good luck :)

    Heya…. I have the same problem as apparently everyone else in the comments and as you… he he. But what I do is listen to the radio or an audiobook at not to hight volume while I’m trying to sleep. For me at least that works really well. I hope you can get some sleep. Let us know when/if you do!

    Have you tried listening to calming music?
    Don’t drink caffeine 6 hours before bed.
    Sleep in a pitch black room…
    I can think of more but that’s what I do if I can’t sleep..

    I know if you eat too early before bed your litterally up all night…happens to me. But if you must eat, I would eat turkey. There’s something in it that puts you to sleep even if your wide awake. A hot bath/shower may help… Hm…don’t drink sleepy tea and decadfinated tea or coffee cause it still has caffeine in the drink. And probably the most important is to relax every once in a while!!! Don’t overwork. ;)

    Have you tried camamel tea? Us Italians believe very highly in that or also taking a shot of Scotch but I recommend the tea for you. Hope this helps and I hope you get some sleep I have the same problems. :)

    Hey Peter, I’ve been following your blog for some time know and at times I feel that I can really relate to you. These past few blog posts are no exception, I had terrible problems getting to sleep a few years back, I was working at night and going to college full time during the day, when I had time to sleep I couldn’t, I would be up for 4 and 5 days at a time. This eventually caught up with me and I had to go see a doctor who told me my body was on the verge of shutting down I was about 24 hours away from being hospitalized. Thankfully I was able to get my body to adjust to my manic schedule before permanent damage could be done.

    I truly hope your body can adjust and allow you to rest soon before it catches up to you!

    i have that. And whoever youbwork too much is right, but i get you sometimes have no choice. honestly the only thing that ever really helped me was sports combined with pills, but the alternative is meditation. Telling myself “its okay, ill do it tomorrow” and “it’s okay, this is the situation but can’t be helped.” you know, conciously aacepting the situation youre in, including the sleeless ness, combined with forcing yourself to think nothing (relax.) in other words. listening to my own breathing helps, also denying myself to move once i found a comfortable position. it all sounds very forced now, but the only way to do it is to relax. and sleep will come back sooner or later

    Oh man, you really work too hard and too long… I thought that after being so exhausted you would sleep like a baby but it seems that’s not the case unfortunately. I’m also having a hard time with falling asleep, it probably has to do with something inside you, your thoughts or feelings. You should relax more or at least try to. If I could I would help you out with webshop orders or anything you’d need me for! :) Maybe you have too many things on your mind? I hate the feeling of not sleeping properly too, makes us feel tired throughout the day. I just hope you will get better soon my friend, all the best!
