Re: On Your Mind

Wondering why none of the record stores where I live can't order the unattractive revolution CD for me.

Hah, sometimes I need some pleasure too, right? current/tongue The afternoon wasn't that cool though as I almost lost consciousness, no fun.

Ugh, it's snowing again. Sideways. If you're a train, that's a catastrophe. There's no way you can be on time, causing your passengers to be late too

i would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.

What kind of insinuation is that, hah current/wink. Well, I've had headache since I woke up and in the afternoon it made me feel really dizzy. Maybe something with blood pressure, I have no idea current/smile.

Re: On Your Mind

What a morning. I found out last night that the tickets for Steel Panther was gone. I was sure they were print-tickets, so I was gonna print them, but apparently they should have come by mail. So I was looking around for them untill sometime around 1, before I called the ticket company this morning. Looong wait, i was number 60 in their queue. they made the tickets into print tickets (you have no idea how happy I was!), so now the tickets are fixed and ready for tonigt current/big_smile Cant wait to see them again.

i would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.

Re: On Your Mind

Worried about my big brother. He's been struggeling with a burn out syndrome for a while, and now has gotten 2 more kids and a new home in a relatively short time, aswell as our mother doing not so great health and business wise. he's the most sensitive and compassionate person I know, and he seems to go through a bit of a rough patch lately, so naturally I hope it doesn't get too much for hium again :S

Re: On Your Mind

I already can't wait for the Olympic Games to be over. I'm so fed up with all those constant flamewars everywhere, one group of people attacking another for commenting on competitions and making their own sport of it. "Oh sure, all of sudden you're a big fan of snowboarding/figure skating/whatever, and since you never mentioned it before the Games, you're an idiot." Seriously, what the fuck?! Alright, I'm not squeaking with joy when reading status updates about how "WE" won this and that again neither but it doesn't offend me and it's definitely NOT gonna kill me. However, some people behave like if it was a matter of life or death and I simply don't get it. Do they really have nothing better to do? Jesus Christ...

Damn, this sucks current/big_smile I prefer the oldfashioned ordinary way of shipping tickets directly than wondering how the hell am I supposed to get them a night before the show. Not even speaking about the possibility of selling them if something happens and you can't go... I had two additional tickets for the BVB show in Berlin because my friends couldn't go after all, one classic and one to be printed, and of course I was able to sell only the classic ticket.

Being a sensitive and compassionate person is a fucking heavy burden in this wicked world. Fingers crossed for your brother. Burn out syndrome or not, he has his family and you to support him and that still counts, doesn't it? current/smile Sometimes I wish I had at least one sibling to share everything with too.

I'm so with you there. Just can't understand the fascination with sports. Albeit, for some reason, I have managed to miss the whole Olympics this time around. current/tongue

Good luck with you guitar practice! I hope you have more patience with it than I did: I tried to learn to play guitar with my husbaind's guitar, but the first time I tried to tune it, I broke a string and I got my finger hurt. I got so mad with the thing, that I hid it in the darkest corner of our closet, and since that day, I have never tried to play it. current/big_smile I have had better luck with other instruments though, I played piano when I was in primary school and bass when I was in junior high, but with guitar, I have only hate, hate relationship.

Kids and new home, oh I can soooo understand if he is under much stress. If he is also the type of person who takes all the burden of other people around him as his own, he must have it hard. current/sad I hope he can get through whatever he is going through without grumpling down. All the best wishes for you and your family, I know it's not much help though. Sorry!

Re: On Your Mind

today while we were cooking tasty, tasty ( current/wink ) food in class, I got complimented for my cooking skills and knowledge from my substitue teacher - who is an eminently respectable top chef in this region (well.. I'm told he's also considered a top chef all over Europe).
he also asked if I wanted to become a cook because I'm that good at it. some other students said that if he asks you personally if you want to become a cook, he really does think you're good.
damn, I haven't gotten such a compliment in a long time. feels good. I'm still kinda stunned. current/smile

Re: On Your Mind

I got a real bad bangover from yesterday's show (The Defiled with Butcher Babies and The Killing lights) but it is worth it. Got to meet everyone from The Defiled, hang out with The Killing Lights for quite long time and get choked  by Chris from Butcher Babies. This was the first gig this year and probably the best gig ever. current/big_smile
But the pain now is terrible, someone need to invent a bangover antidote like right now.

Have I told you that Metallica was the band that really made me wanting to start playing guitar? It is really strange. The song that I wanted to play was Sad But True. I thought that the whole song was kinda mediocre except for the "I am your dream make real" parts. Which is strange since the guitar isn't very audible during those parts. But they were the most emotional parts on the song. And expressing emotions through music was what subconsciously made me interested in playing guitar.

And all that is holy, holy shall be...
Let the light bless and
let these words proclaim the blessing.
Let the seal be broken and let the light prevail

Like for millions of other people current/tongue. But anyway, that's a nice story man and expressing emotions through music is one of the main reasons James Hetfield plays guitar. I highly recommend you to watch this recent video with this incredibly smart man.
