Re: Spotify!

I cried tears of joy when it became finally available in germany...
I have an unlimted account and love it.. totally worth it for me.

I kinda dislike the way to claim to be cool and "pay" the artists, while what they do is hardly what any common person would understand under "payment", then again the last 3 albums I bought and two concerts I went through lately where all of bands I wouldn't even know without spotify I suppose...

Btw, this must be like the 5th spotify thread on here current/tongue
we should exchange playlists or somehing again...

Re: Spotify!

Yeah spotify unlimited would be also an option, although I like the premium too much as I can have it on my phone than current/big_smile and I can use my playlists and all in Germany without changeing the settings etc. and I am glad about as last time my whole account got so fucked up that it took them like days so fix it...was maybe too much change in countries in too little time xD

Re: Spotify!

Yeah, it's really good. I just formatted my computer and I don't feel the urge to put in all my cds into it again. current/tongue

I also got a one year subscription for free when I upgraded my internet deal. But since I mostly play vinyls at home, I mainly use it for my phone. That's awesome when yo're in the car, for example.

Re: Spotify!

Never used it as it's not available in my country. I barely listen to music nowadays anyway so I guess it doesn't make too much difference for me current/tongue. But seems like a neat tool.

Re: Spotify!

I use it mostly at school, since I dont have any music on this pc. Plus I almost only use it to listen to music I dont usually listen to (guilty pleasures?) xD To put it this way, theres a reason why none of my playlists are published for everyone too see.

i would like, if I may, to take you on a strange journey.

You could use a VPN service to get a Swedish ip adress, for example. current/smile

Re: Spotify!

Cant live without it, been a paying custommer for years know.

have it on partys, in my car, at work. So easy to have everything on one place. and you dont need to fix your playlists over and over.

Best thing that happened to me music wise. Since its so easy to find new music aswell.

Yeah spotify is great at parties when people just put their songs in que xD My friends are usually good at it. I just have to teach them how to do it every party.

The concept is completely different. You pay a monthlty fixed cost and then you can stream all the music you want. Songs are also available offline if you sync them, both for your computer and your smartphone.

oh ok, I might have to give it a try! I like buying the music though so it goes to the bands current/smile (If any of it does that is, with the industry how it is, apparently bands themselves make hardly anything from record sales, but smaller bands get the money usually)

Re: Spotify!

Well,
I have only heard something about spotify for three month. Can't recognize how I lived without it before. It's a beautiful invention.
If I don't know a band I look on spotify, have all her music and decide if I like them. Also found Crashdiet in that way...
So it just can be good...
Now I only have the free version, think it goes for six month or whatever, but I guess I'll take the premium membership one day...
So walk on,
Lumi

Re: Spotify!

I haven't look at a downloaded MP3 file since I started using Spotify, so in that sense, they turned me into a "paying costumer".

I love the service and I can only recommend it to everyone. For 1188 swedish crones a year you will get around 20 million songs, and you can't listen to all of those songs in your entire life.

I find new songs all the time, that I add to my "Random" playlist that you can find here:

Re: Spotify!

I don't know how I survived before spotify! Since I listen to music almost 24/7 it's perfect current/smile If I get tired of my playlist I just go to a friends profile or use the radio function. Absolutely love it current/big_smile

If you love me like music
I'll be you're song

Re: Spotify!

I don't use Spotify at all...
reason 1 .. I simply don't like it at all (designs, lots of stuff I listen to I can't find there) ..
reason 2 .. as far as I know musicians and bands barely get paid at all from spotify (not sure if that's the case anymore, but it used to be like that a while ago) so I rather just support them by buying their cds...
reason 3.. kind of a stupid one but all my friends playlists sucks so I dont' really get introduced to new music there

Re: Spotify!

I don't use Spotify. Most of the albums I want to listen to aren't available. The ads are annoying. I don't want to pay just to get rid of them, when I can use something similar to Spotify, which is included in my wi-fi subscription. It's called YouMusic there are much more music, and no ads.
But I prefer to buy physical CD's
