Hey there! I'm closing this place down and the migration of data to a new, improved website has started already, so keep in mind that anything you post from now is gonna be wiped! Will be back shortly with news. Cheers //LONDON
I only really get the poster ones and even then its rare. I find most of these magazines are too much kissass's or always have the same small group of bands that are in the top 40. So basically i think music mags suck ass these days

and aside from the music?
like martin i'm super keen to see the cover art and my name in the booklet . I'm also hoping it sparks up a tour that involves Australia
Just recently found out about this band because of my brother. By the way, I am from California. Any news when this band plays near the vicinity of Cali?
This is a yahoo page
they are playing the Whiskey a go go on the 15th of August, so uhh Tonight. Also welcome to the board
I think its a great idea, i don't see how giving people extra for the standard price is selling out. Its not like they are asking for a heap of cash and you get to be a part of the new CD how cool is that!.
I ordered it on high (forgot to put my name in the comments field out of excitement... but i've sent peter a pm about it).
P.S. I agree with Izzy Vinyl is a must

My thoughts exactly, im a big fan of a lot of Death and Black metal bands (especially Carcass,Megadeth,Death, Morbid Angel, Dimmu Borgir, Arcturus... ect).
The Mars Volta has been one of my favourite bands since I first heard them 8-9 years ago whatever genre they are....
and I also like alot of random artists from Country (Albert lee), Jazz (Wes Montgomery) ect.
I think as a Musician especially its quite hard to not find at least one band you like in every genre.

The thing is, and I always tell people this :
WE wanna do gigs in every part of the world every day and we're always up for anything but it's as always a question of money - we can't afford to pay our tours orselves you know so we need at least our expences covered.
I've heard this rumor too, but as Peter said it depends on how much money they are offered. Its fucking hard to make any money in the music industry these days...
If it were too happen i may just cry tears of joy and not sleep for a week
you can also get the first album for $1 off thier facebook page

An xXx logo necklace would be pretty boss. I imagine pretty expensive to produce though D:
Still, if one ever found its way into the web store I'd certainly pick one up as well .
i imagine it wouldn't be too expensive, yeah it would be more costly than other items but so worth it

Some of my Favourites are:

They give me disease
They give me a pain in my neck to feed off me
Saying pay us the cost and we'll be gone
Now they shut my eyes and I can't see now"
John Frusciante - Anne
"I'm the one that's gonna have to die
When it's time for me to die
So let me live my life the way I want to."
Jimi Hendrix - If 6 was 9
"Everybody loves you when you’re dead
Everybody wants you in the end
It’s common human greed
In loving memory
Now everybody loves you when you’re dead"
Vains of Jenna - Everybody Loves You When You're Dead
"My smile is a rifle
And what are you...
My smile is a rifle
And i point it at you
My smile is a rifle
You'll know when you bring me in from the rain...."
John Frusciante - My Smile Is A Rifle
"She comes undone
dead end, nowhere to run
Sweet lips around a loaded gun pulls the trigger and the bullet
Crashdiet - Save Her
i like your idea of user of the month laura (or something similar), perhaps instead of giving them store credit make certain store items avaliable for x amount of points and points awarded by other people in the forum (much like "karma") on the sister forum.
I called you Meatloaf because of the Meatloaf song "you took the words right of my mouth", now do you get it?
Wings of Victory wrote:This time it's not only a preview of the new album but of Simons new look as well! I really dig the "heavier" sound showcased in this teaser. And *get's into fangirl mode* I looooove Simons new hairdo!
What do you think?
i think you took the words right of my mouth... thanks meatloaf
yeah i can see where you are coming from with that, the stuff we have up on there is from an old pretty dodgely recorded EP (before i joined the band) the new stuff sounds far better than that stuff trust me

gothMINd wrote:yeah i knew your were gonna put it that way, and i understand that, but it's still not rock n roll music, spirit or not.. what about the bands that play the music and live the life and were much more of an influence to rock music, or even music in general.. i know alot of other genres of music now are influenced by certain rock acts and even the style, much more than madanna is influenced in rock, and you can certainly see it
it should not be called rock n roll hall of fame then if theres gonna be people in it that has nothing to do with rock
completely agree i mean fuck R. Kelly got nominated one year... next they will be putting shit like T. pain in there....

There is one more that I don't have a pic of at the moment its the stamp from a local metal pub, that I have been going to since i was 17 and i played my first gig there.
My personal rule with drugs is nothing you shoot up and moderation, for me drugs only become a problem when they are frequent/too much at once instead of an occasional indulgence. I've done Weed, Hash, MDMA, Mushrooms, Nangs (gas canisters) and various pills and Alcohol is the only drug that has affected my personal life and health (in the past, I have it under control these days).
In no way do I encourage anyone to do drugs but I also believe it has to be a persons choice if they do them or not. you can warn someone of the dangers but in the end its up to them to find out for themselves.
