I already told you via PM how happy I am to know you are safe, my dearest hitomi, but I just wanted to say that Japan is the land of the sun, and like the Phoenix you will rise from the ashes no matter what and become as beautiful as ever again!
I just hope everything will calm down soon so Japan can start recovering...
No words can describe this tragedy.
Ah, you're too sweet, hitomi! ;_;
I want to go to Japan today and meet you!
Hihi, you know what?
I had an exam in Japanese today and one of the questions was "Why do you study Japanese?" and I had to answer it in Japanese.
My answer was that I studied Japanese since my friend hitomi-neesan is Japanese.
It was the first thing that popped up in my mind!
Yesterday I had an exam in KANJI, I hope it went well!
KANJI is my strongest subject.
hitomi wrote:Dear Gabbi!!

I'm really looking forward to meeting you when you come to Japan actually!!

Happy Merry Christmas
I'm really sorry I couldn't come here lately,
Anyway, we ( me and Emiya ) are fine
I want to fly to Sweden for RIS....really really fukkin think so....
However it is impossible....but I hope we will be able to fly to Sweden 2011.
If so, we can meet CRASHDIET and Hellman family again, surely
I guess it's a bit late for me to wish you a Merry Christmas,
so I'll just say あけましておめでとう!! instead
You know, if you had been able to come here for RIS I'd be happy to babysit Emiya for you,
I've gotten alot better in Japanese.
I miss you and I think of you every day and it makes me happy to know you're fine.
I hope we'll be able to meet soon again!
I hope it is OK for me to do this post...
I don't know if there are any fans of Versailles on this board, but I am a fan and I was shocked to just find out about their bassist Jasmine You's passing.
This is taken from their website [which at the moment is impossible to access]:
「Versailles」 Urgent Announcement
Though Jasmine You had taken time off in order to rest because of poor physical condition, we received a report that early in the morning on August 9th, he died. Because of the extreme abruptness of this news, the members and staff are all dumbfounded and trying hard to accept this it.
As soon as his family has been notified and updated as to the details and we receive their permission, we will further report to all of the fans.
Moreover, with the current announcement, in regards to activity, please allow us to postpone it.
A fan video [not by me] with one of my favourite Versailles songs After Cloudia
R.I.P. Jasmine You, you'll be truly missed.
hitomi wrote:I think she is 160cm or something.
Japanese girl's average of the height is about 159cm.
Really? Then she's almost my height.
I'm 163 cm... I've been "bullied" by friends for being "short" my entire life.
hitomi wrote:I found Ken chan ( ex-Kamaitachi. Dead Pop Stars ) in those video.
He is really short, you know. (cute though, hehe)
Yes, KENZI is so cute!
I've never listened to Kamaitachi, though. Only THE DEAD POP STARS, SISTER'S NO FUTURE and ANTI FEMINISM.
I was going to attend ANTI FEMINISM's live when they visited Sweden last year, but I couldn't go...
I would have loved to see KENZI's crazy live show, hihi!
That man has no limits...
hitomi wrote:hehe, yeah, most of them ( 80-90s Japanese Rock Stars ) were short,
Especially, All of KAMAITACHI were under 170cm ( about 160 - 168 ),
X are... Yoshiki is 174cm, Taiji is maybe 178 or something ( He is tall as Japanese ), Pata is about 168, HIDE was 170 or 171cm, Toshi is 165 or something...L'Arc en Ciel's Hyde is under 160cm (shorter than Kyo )
BTW, all of " Tokyo Yankees " are over 180cm, so they were always like bodyguards of X...
When you finish your project, ( if you like it ) show me it
Sorry, hitomi, really late response!
I don't check this board as often as I used to, hehe...
Oh, TOKYO YANKEES as bodyguards? That must have been useful.
You know, I always thought of Dynamite Tommy as rather tall [about 175 cm, or something. To me that is tall, hihi]...
But that must be because of the very first video I ever saw him in.
It's a video where he and a girl are bowling together with some Japanese rockers.
[I came across it since Die is in it, hihihihi.]
Anyway, Tommy's standing next to the girl in the beginning, and he looks tall next to her.
So I just got the impression he was tall.
But really, what I learned about Tommy in the bowling video was that:
1. He's not very good at bowling.
2. His yellow hat was really cute.
I couldn't find the bowling video on YouTube, but I did find this:
Not as fun as the bowling video, but you can see Tommy's hat I mentioned earlier.
And I finished my project earlier today, I'm going to PM it to you now!
[color=yellow]Great thread, hitomi!
I don't know much about the older Japanese bands... So I'd like to learn about them!
The old bands I really listen to are BUCK-TICK, LUNA SEA, B'z, X and I like COLOR too, even if I don't have any of their music, hoho.
I don't know, but does Kuroyume count as one of the "older" bands? 'Cause I really like them.
I like all of Kiyoharu's work.
I know more about newer bands, and I could ramble on about them but I'll have to take that some other time, because I have trouble with focusing atm, since I recentley lost my dog and it broke my heart...
But I recommend people to listen to MUCC's latest album!
Many MUCC fans don't like it, but I think it's really awesome.
"shiva" is my favourite song on that album.
Also, I am so sorry about the loss of your friend, hitomi.
I hope you're doing OK!
Tigerheart wrote:I finished my drawing of hide-sama a couple of hours ago! Here's the link to it, if anyone's interested... ^^ ROCKET DIVE.
Really sweet work!!
He is in universe!!
I think hide likes your drawing so much
I hope you draw hide more!!
PS: I love "CLENCH ONE'S FIST", too
Tatsuya (Lead guitarist n' main songwriter ) played it very well!!
My band and COLOR were in the same management and had same tour manager.
But I've never talked with them
(Cuz I feared them so much....I saw their dangerous something sometimes, so...hehehe)
However I liked Dynamite Tommy
I'm so happy you like my picture!
I actually have an idea for a new drawing of hide-sama, but I don't know how to get it out of my head yet, hoho.
I will tell you when I manage to get it done, though!
Oh, you were in the same management? :0
That's really cool!
DYNAMITE TOMMY really seems like a nice person, no matter what people say.
hitomi wrote:And, Gabbi,
What I write here is also long long foreshadowing.
cuz explaining their relationship to other countries's ppl is so difficult.
Their relationship is not expressed in interviews surely.
Anyway, I try to explain it somehow
Just do your best, and I'm sure I'll understand!
Btw, I searched for COLOR on YouTube, and I was completely blown away!
I cannot understand I haven't checked them out earlier...
They are so good, I really like them!
I must have listened to "CLENCH ONE'S FIST" for about 20 times in a row.
Sadly, I can only listen to them via YouTube, since I cannot find anywhere to download their music, and I just spent my last money on a Dir-album...
But still COLOR is really awesome!
I really like Tommy's voice.
hitomi wrote:Oh I have to write long reply to Gabbi again, but give me time!!
Cuz I cannot arrange my time now, I am really new mother!! hehe
Hehe, no need to hurry. Emiya comes first all times.
I enjoy these little stories you post, though!
They're nice to read.
But I must admit I know nothing at all about COLOR, I don't even think I've heard their music.
But it's still fun to read your stories!
hitomi wrote:Though I wrote long reply to Gabbi, it vanished
It did? Aw, stupid technology.
Anyway, about the tribute summit and Dir's participation, I don't kow how I feel about that.
I friggin' love Dir, and anyone who knows me are aware of that, but still...
It actually surprised me when I first found out about their participation in the tribute summit.
Why? Because the last years they've been fighting so hard to get rid of their roots.
At least that's how many fans feel.
And also, Kaoru [one of the guitarists] stopped running around with his hide-plushie a long time ago. He used to state that he always took it with him, and it used to be on stage with him, but you don't see it anymore.
Sure, all people change their image, but you don't have to try to erase your past.
There are alot of things I could say about this whole thing, but I won't post it here.
It just doesn't feel right to talk about it openly.
I'm happy to see Dir in the setlist, I really am. They've come a long way, and I'm sure this means alot to them.
I just hope that playing on the same stage as some of the bands who inspired them in their youth, and also get to hang out with them backstage maybe?, will make them maybe play some older stuff at concerts too.
This came out wrong, but it's so hard to put all of your thoughts and feelings down in letters, when you know you probably will be missunderstood. ^^
Blah, this thread isn't about Dir, sorry for babbling on about them.
I wish I could attend the tribute summit, it would have been so great.
Sadly, it is impossible.
I'm sure it will be such a great rock'n'roll party!
There will be so many of the bands I like playing there.
I hate that I will miss out on it.
Also, I wish I could get my hands on one of the black "psychobear" T-shirts they're selling at LEMONed SHOP, but they're all sold out, and besides I'm pretty sure they wouldn't ship to Sweden, since the entire page is in Japanese. ^^
Ah well, I can't do anything about it, except from accepting the truth, and that is that I'll never get one.
Ouff, this became a long post, and I didn't mean for it to happen.
I'll end this post now and continue to work on the drawing of hide-sama I've forgotten to finish for such a long time.
I hope I'll finish it soon, so I can put it in my art book before I'll have the book printed!
