Hey there! I'm closing this place down and the migration of data to a new, improved website has started already, so keep in mind that anything you post from now is gonna be wiped! Will be back shortly with news. Cheers //LONDON
Marmetal wrote:^ I guess that applies for most of people . Get some rest!
well a few years ago I didn't have a problem with not sleeping enough
I guess it's just that it happens all the time now. it wasn't like that back then
thanks, I'll try.
Marmetal wrote:Seems that I really got bored with rock music as of lately, it just doesn't do it for me.
I know that feeling.
I've been listening to one kind of music long enough, so about a year ago I started to listen to other stuff again, too. even if it's only stuff on the radio, I think it's important to give it a chance. it might be a piece of art that you haven't seen/heard yet.
that's why I think Spotify is great; if I'm bored of the stuff I own, I'll open Spotify and search for some playlists other people made. sometimes you'll find really good music you've never heard before.
or another example: I came across Sigur Rós thanks to reddit. someone mentioned them and I looked for them on Spotify. I was in love. I've never heard music like that before, and that's what I listen to the most right now
what I also like to do is to put all kinds of music in a playlist and then play it on shuffle.
well, the last playlist I created was only rock, but it was different kinds of rock. from alternative rock over 80's hard rock to death metal. this never gets boring

well, today I realized that I should probably talk to someone. I don't know who I trust enough to do so, though...
you're welcome to talk to me if you want, just maybe not tonight as I am pretty exhausted after that trainride today
back in germany.. D:
welcome back, btw.
Marmetal wrote:^ I do the same because I actually prefer these kind of movies myself since I can relate to certain things.
yeah me too!
but sometimes it's just so scary to see situations you're going through from another person's point of view I think.
Marmetal wrote:What did you watch?
I watched "Ordinary People"
mrs v. viper wrote:I signed up on this board late 2009. Which means I've been posting here for 4 1/2 years now... craaaazyyyy..
same for me!
mrs v. viper wrote:I still have the single of corpse (remember how everyone used to say that, and anygay?! ) but I thik the magazine got lost after moving two times
haha of corpse I remember that
but yea I got the single too somewhere. I listened to it recently.. I had totally forgotten about Fear Control. I listened to it a few times on repeat because I had forgotten how much I loved it
naww what a pity:(
I gotta say that I really like to re-read it once in a while.. it brings back memories + I can see if I still understand Swedish haha. I remember when I got it, I took it to school because I had nothing better to do there. I read it and people asked me who that "crazy guy" on the cover is. then they realized that the magazine is not in German and they asked me if I understood everything.. when I said "yeah, pretty much everything" they all wanted to know what every fucking page says...
I can't believe it's been so long since then. I miss those times (when it comes to the forum only, though), it's been real fun and the atmosphere here was kinda special (at least I felt like it was).
@axl: nice too see you again

haha. I wonder what he's up to
mrs v. viper wrote:I remember when Generaton Wild (the single!) got played on the radio the first time and we all were on the online radio to hear it, and people ditched school for it.
yeah I remember that very well. actually, everytime I listen to that song I think of this time.. brings back memories.
btw Anna, do you remember when you contacted Sweden Rock Magazine to ask if they ship to Germany because we wanted to get the Generation Wild single so bad? I still got that magazine lying around in my room somewhere..
god, it's been quite a while since those days..
today while we were cooking tasty, tasty ( ) food in class, I got complimented for my cooking skills and knowledge from my substitue teacher - who is an eminently respectable top chef in this region (well.. I'm told he's also considered a top chef all over Europe).
he also asked if I wanted to become a cook because I'm that good at it. some other students said that if he asks you personally if you want to become a cook, he really does think you're good.
damn, I haven't gotten such a compliment in a long time. feels good. I'm still kinda stunned.
today I applied at another school for next year, so I can finally get my "Abitur", which is a general qualification for university entrance. (it's gonna take me another three years tho D: )
but jesus christ, it's about time! I should have it since June last year I had to make a loooong way round, obviously.
I just came back from a 3-day trip with my class. jesus christ, it was exhausting... we had to cook and sell food at a pretty big event for two days straight - from 7 am until 10 pm. had to get up at 5 am tho... also: it was all in French. we did everything with our partner-school in France, and they didn't speak a word German. I was the only one who could speak a little bit French, but the last time I had French in school was ~4 years ago, so I forgot almost everything... communicating was really fun as you can imagine
needless to say: I'm glad to be back at home :3
Fall Out Boy - Phoenix
...Yeah, like really
haha, I listened to them quite a lot a few years ago and shortly before their new album came out I re-discovered them
Insomnium - Down With The Sun
I'm thinking alot about my dad these days. He's been at the hospital since last monday (the 30th), so I'm really worried for him. He had a bleeding in the brain (i'm sure there is some fancy medical name for that), and after being treated for that, he got an infection Now we're just waiting for him to wake up.
oh no I hope he gets well soon!
on my mind: I want to go to the 30 Seconds To Mars gig in Stuttgart so bad, but I can't afford it D: there's absolutely no chance I can get there I know I won't forgive myself that I can't see them on this tour...
^ yeah, true that! these are some good and important points (and my opinion exactly as well)
those are topics I discuss quite often, and sometimes these discussions get pretty heated beause it makes me kind of angry that some people don't seem to understand that those are important issues. it's like they don't want to hear the truth.
NightFalling wrote:I never finished Assassins Creed, but I´m working on that.
me too, I've got AC II on my xbox but I haven't played it for a long time..
NightFalling wrote:I remember, the first game I ever played was Need for Speed III: Hot Pursuit from 1998.
I still have Need For Speed Hot Pursuit II on my PS2 (which is somewhere in my basement )
but the very first game I've ever played was Croc - The Legend of the Gobbos I guess I was like 4 or 5 when my mom showed me that game. *sigh* ...nostalgia
what made me smile today: that my new notebook works and I can play Skyrim on ultra high settings. hah!
Sheila wrote:Haha, I know that feeling, you're not alone xD
Good to hear that theres more of us
haha, I thought I'm the only girl like that all my friends don't really play games like these you know
I remember playing Need For Speed on my ps2... good times haha!
now I rather play games like Skyrim or Civilization. I also love playing The Sims
(but I'm also open for all kinds of shooters or stuff like that )
I also played way too much GTA Vice City & San Andreas on my ps2 haha. but after that I didn't touch another GTA.. don't quite know why, though.
when it comes to my xbox: I loved LA Noire. Brütal Legend was also pretty fun
....god, I spend way too much time for this stuff
(oh and btw, those Steam sales are horrible if you don't have any money.. so many good games you can't buy )
what made me smile today: that my dad is coming home for christmas
Snow everywhere except here... There´s something wrong
it's crazy! I mean you can step outside and take a look at the mountains.. there's snow in every goddamn direction.
Baden-Baden (where I live) is basically only surrounded by snow, as always
